Calculation

Term 1

Category Test:

Assignment 1 75/100 = .75 * 2 = 1.50

Assignment 4 92/100 = .92 * 2 = 1.84

Total 3.34 / 4 = .835 * 60 = .50.1

Category Daily

Assignment 2 20/20 = 1.00 * 1 = 1.00

Assignment 3 9/10 = .90 * 1 = .90

Total 1.90 / 2 = .95 * 40 = .38

Term 1 Average .501 + .380 = .881 * 100 = 88.1

Term 2

Category Daily:

Assignment 5 18/20 = .90 * 1 = .90

Assignment 6 15/15 = 1.00 * 1 = 1.00

Total 1.90 / 2 = .95 * 40 = 38 / 40 = .95

Term 2 Average .950 * 100 = 95.0

Final Average

Term 1 88.1 * 50 = 4405

Term 2 95.0 * 50 = 4750

Total 9155 / 100 = 91.55

This calculation is often misunderstood when comparing manual calculations with GradeQuick calculations. You must use test weights if you are using percents rather than scores to calculate the student's average.
