Assigning a Resource

To add a resource to a class:

  1. Open a lesson plan. Select the Instructional Plan tab.
  2. Select the arrow in the Resources field. Select a resource to assign to this lesson from the drop-down list.

  3. Add any details in the Resource Details field.
  4. Click OK to save and exit.

Removing a Resource

To remove the resource attached to an instructional plan item.

  1. Open a lesson plan and go to the Instructional Plan tab.
  2. Double-click in the Resource field. The Attach Resources to Lesson Plan pop-up displays.
  3. Click the Remove button. A confirmation pops-up.
  4. Click Yes to confirm the removal, or click No to keep the resource with the item.

Deleting a Resource

Before deleting a resource, confirm that it is not used in any of the class lesson plans. If a resource is attached to an instructional plan in any lesson plan, you will be unable to delete it.

  1. Open a lesson plan and select the Instructional Plan tab.
  2. Click the + (plus) button to add an activity or double-click an existing activity.
  3. Click the Add/Edit Resources button.
  4. Highlight the resource you wish to delete
  5. Click the Delete button.
  6. Answer OK at the prompt.

  7. Click OK to save and exit.

Adding Resource Links

You may link resources, such as worksheets or other items that may be stored any where on your computer, network or the Internet, to Lesson Plans. The Resource Links feature is located in the Define Instructional Plan dialogue box.

Note: Resource Links are unique to each Lesson Plan. If a resource is used in separate lessons, it must be added separately to each.

To link a resource to a specific lesson plan:

  1. Right-click in the Resource Links box.
  2. Select Add from the menu and then select Web Resource Link or File Resource Link.

  3. Provide location information for the resource (see below).
  4. Click OK to save and exit.

The Web Resource Link option prompts you to enter the URL (web address) of the web resource and the Name you choose to identify it inResource Links. For example, enter the following if you want to link to the U.S. Department of Education home page:

URL: www.ed.gov

Name: Dept. of Ed. (or another name)

The name you assign will appear in Resource Links. Double-clicking the name will take you to the web page associated with the URL.

The File Resource Link option allows you to navigate to the location of the resource on your computer or network. The name of the file you select is stored in Resource Links. Double-clicking the file name will open the file from its location outside GradeQuick.

To edit or delete a resource link:

  1. Highlight the Resource Link and right-click.
  2. Select Edit a Resource Link or Delete a Resource Link.
  3. If editing, change the location information for the link by entering a new URL or file location.
  4. Click OK to save and exit.

Resource List Report

To print a list of the resources in your gradebook, select Resources>List of Resources from the Reports menu on the Gradebook Spreadsheet.
