Copy Gradebooks

Teachers, if you are teaching the same subject in several classes, you probably have multiple gradebooks that need the same settings and assignments. With My Gradebooks, you can copy over assignments and other key data, including gradebook settings, from one gradebook into several other gradebooks at once. This feature will save you time when setting up your gradebooks.

How to Copy Gradebook Data to Other Gradebooks

  1. From the Views list, select Gradebook Copy.
    Follow the step-by-step procedures.

  2. Select the gradebook with the content to copy from the gradebook list.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Select the gradebooks you want to copy the data to from the gradebooks list.
    Press Ctrl or CMD while selecting multiple gradebooks.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Select the type of information to copy from the list.
    Options include — Weights, Score Symbols, Grade Scales, Student Information Field Names, Attendance Codes, Assignments, Score Footnotes, Term Start Dates, and General Settings.

    You will need to copy each type of information separately.

  7. Select any data specifics to copy.
    For some of the types of information, you many need to select specific content to include in the copy. For example, if copying Assignments, you will be able to select specific assignments or all assignments.
  8. Click Copy.
    The information will be copied to the selected gradebooks.

Special Note About Copying Assignments - If you receive a message that an assignment cannot be copied to another gradebook, please check the name of the assignment. The Long Name for an assignment must exist, and it cannot be the same as the Short Name. The Short Name is not required.
