Change Your Contact Information

The Manage Account page is accessible to all Edline users, and it enables you to change your contact information. You will be able to change your email address, determine which email message types to receive from Edline, enter a phone number for voice and text messages, change your password, and enter your security question to receive automated temporary password emails from Edline if you forget your password.

Depending on the email, voice, text, and notification system your school uses to contact you, the fields listed in this topic may not match the information that appears on your screen. Fill in the information as requested by your school, and if you have any issues, contact your school's website administrator.

How to Add or Change an Email Address, Receive Email Messages

Make sure that the Edline website has your current email address listed in your account. Your school can send important alerts to you via email.

  1. From the My Edline menu, under My Account, select Manage Account to access the Manage Account page.
  2. Click the Edit link in the Email, Phone, and Notifications section.
  3. Add or change your email address in the Email tab:
    • To enter a new email address, click Add New.

      Type the new address in the Email box.

      The status of the new address is set to pending until you verify it through a confirmation email sent to your email account. To learn more, see Reconfirm Your Email Address.

    • To remove an email address, click the Delete icon.
  4. Determine the types of email messages you want to receive from your school. All users with an email address will automatically receive emergency alerts from the school.
    • To receive email messages concerning important school information, messages from teachers or coaches, and upcoming event information from the school, select School Messages.

      To no longer receive these messages from your school, clear School Messages.

    • To receive email messages from your school any time a new grade, attendance report, behavior summary, or other type of report becomes available, select Private Reports.

      To no longer receive this message from your school, clear Private Reports.

  5. Click Save.

How to Set Your Phone Information

Depending on what your school uses for a notification process, these fields may not be available. You may be able to add your phone contact information for voice and text messages.

  1. From the My Edline menu, under My Account, select Manage Account to access the Manage Account page.
  2. Click the Edit link in the Email, Phone, and Notifications section.
  3. Click the Phone tab.
  4. Add or change your phone number:
    • To enter a new number, click Add New.

      Type the new number in the Phone box.

    • To remove a number, click the Delete icon.
  5. Determine the types of messages you want to receive from your school. All users will automatically receive emergency alerts from the school.
    • To receive phone messages concerning important school information, messages from teachers or coaches, and upcoming event information from the school, select School Messages.

      To no longer receive these messages from your school, clear School Messages.

    • To receive voice messages for the alerts and/or school messages, select Voice.
    • To receive text messages for the alerts and/or school messages, select Text .
  6. Click Save.
