Shipping Rates

For all shipping methods (both domestic and international), the rate is calculated based on the package's weight and proximity to its destination. To get a shipping estimate, add all items to your cart and proceed to checkout.

General Shipping Guidelines

  • UPS Ground shipments are guaranteed to ship within 24 business hours.
  • UPS 2nd Day Air, and UPS Next Day Air orders placed before 12pm CST Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) ship same day. Orders placed after 12pm CST will ship on the next business day.
  • All orders are subject to verification prior to shipping.
  • Shipping times are only estimates and vary by location.
  • Signature may be required upon delivery at the driver's discretion. You can request that your package be left by leaving a note for the driver, although, ultimately, it's up to the driver.
  • Neither the Blackboard Store nor our shipping partners guarantee delivery of packages during periods of inclement weather. We do not offer shipping refunds for resulting delays.

APO/FPO/DPO and PO Boxes

  • Orders ship to APO/FPO/DPO boxes and PO boxes via USPS Priority Mail or UPS SurePost.
  • Shipping rates are calculated based on weight and location.

Tracking

After you submit your order, you’ll receive 2 emails: one when your order is confirmed and one when your order ships. The second email will contain a tracking number if you selected a trackable shipping method during checkout. You can use this tracking number to follow the progress of your shipment on http://www.ups.com or http://www.usps.com.

You can also follow these steps to track your shipment through your Blackboard Store account:

  • Log in to your Blackboard Store account.
  • Select Track Orders from the main page.
  • On this page you’ll see a list of your past and current orders.
    • If the order was shipped using SurePost or a UPS service, you can click on the tracking number to follow the progress of your package
    • If the order was shipped via Priority Mail, click on the Order ID to pull up the order summary. The USPS tracking number is located here. Enter it on http://www.usps.com to follow the progress of your package

Returns

To return an item that you purchased from the Blackboard Store:

  1. Log into your Blackboard Store account and go to the Returns Center.
  2. Follow the instructions to print a packing slip and shipping label for your return. The cost of shipping is automatically deducted from your refund total.
  3. Including the packing slip, pack your returned item in a secure box suitable for shipping. Affix the prepaid shipping label to the outside of the box
  4. Ship your box. Please allow up to 2 weeks to receive your refund.

Blackboard Store Return Guidelines

  • Returns must be postmarked within 21 days from the date the package shipped or 14 days from the start date of the course (whichever date comes later).
  • If you choose to use a shipping method other than the prepaid shipping label from your Blackboard Store account, mail your return to the following address:

  • Refunds issued only to the original form of payment.
  • Refused shipments are not insured. We are not responsible for loss or damage of refused shipments.
  • Shipping charges are nonrefundable.
  • Return value for a book that arrives outside of the 14- or 21-day return window will be equal to the current buyback value (if one exists). To create a buyback quote for these items, click here.
  • Book must be in the same condition in which we shipped it to you (including in the original publisher shrink-wrap, if applicable) in order to receive a full refund.
  • Access codes/cards must be unused and unopened to be eligible for return.
  • All supplementary items (CDs, workbooks, etc.) originally sent with the book must be included.

Returning Rental Items

How to return a rental item:

  1. To access the Blackboard Store, log in to Blackboard Learn and select the Blackboard Store. Then, navigate to the Rental Returns Center.
  2. Follow the instructions to print a packing slip and shipping label for your return. The cost of shipping is automatically deducted from your refund total.
  3. Including the packing slip, pack your returned item in a secure box suitable for shipping. Affix the prepaid shipping label to the outside of the box.
  4. Ship your box. Please allow up to 2 weeks to receive your refund.

Rental Return Guidelines

  • Rental returns are accepted within 14 days from the date of purchase. Books returned later than 14 days will not be eligible for a refund.
  • You must use the pre-paid shipping label printable from the Rental Returns Center in your Blackboard Store account.
  • Refunds issued only to the original form of payment.
  • Original shipping charge is nonrefundable.
  • Book must be in the same condition in which we shipped it to you.
  • For new books, access cards and CDs must be unopened.
  • All components originally sent with the book must be included.
  • Refused packages will not be accepted for return and are not insured - we are not responsible for loss or damage of refused shipments.

Returning Digital Items

  • For inactivated digital course materials, returns are accepted within 21 days from the date of purchase or 14 days from the date that the class begins (whichever date comes later).
  • Once a digital item has been activated, it is not eligible for return - regardless of your class enrollment status. If you wish you return a digital item, please contact us or call us at 866-638-5900 before you activate it.

Returning Access Codes

Access codes/cards must be unused and unopened to be eligible for a return. Please do not remove any packaging or expose the code if you plan to return one. This pertains to standalone access codes/cards and also those that may be packaged with new textbooks.
