SafeAssignments appear in courses as a new content type. You can add them to any course content area. SafeAssignments are different from regular assignments. You cannot convert an existing assignment into a SafeAssignment. Like regular assignments, when you create a SafeAssignment, a column is automatically created in the Grade Center.
When students access a SafeAssignment, they can view instructions, type comments in a text box, and attach a file, just as they do with regular assignments. Students can submit papers in Word (DOC, DOCX, ODT), Plain Text (TXT), Rich Text Format (RTF), PDF, and HTML formats.
