Redis Cache

The Redis Cache building block, paired with the newly-released Admin Console, offers system administrators a new way to manage and monitor the performance of their Learn instances. This building block provides improvements in system performance, scalability, and availability by providing an additional type of memory storage outside of the JVM heap.

The Redis Cache building block enables Blackboard Learn's cache framework to use redis as an additional type of memory store outside the heap. Redis is an open source, high-performance, networked advanced key-value store. Other companies that use redis include Craigslist, Github, Stackoverflow, and Instagram.
