This section provides details on how to optimize SQL for your institution's instance of Learn.

Microsoft Windows Server 2008(R1) and Microsoft SQL Server 2008(R1) are unsupported for Blackboard Learn 9.1 SP12 and later. Consult the release notes for your version of Blackboard Learn to understand which technologies are supported in self-hosted systems.

Blackboard recommends that you read the following information before configuring the hardware environment in which Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 will reside.
