Course Data Points

Administrators must configure the Collect module to collect data from courses within the site. Data can include average student grade, activity data for a course, and the number of times a user has posted or viewed an activity.

Steps: Administration > Site administration > Plugins > Blocks > Collect

  1. From Site administration select Plugins, Blocks, and Collect.
  2. Configure the General Settings for the course data to collect.
    • Determine whether or not to Exclude hidden courses. Usually hidden courses do not have any data.
  3. Determine the type of Course data to collect.
    • Select whether or not collecting course data is Enabled.
    • Select whether or not to collect the course Grade.
    • Determine how often to collect the data. Options include Every hour, Every Day, and Every 4 Weeks.

An activity is considered complete when there is a grade in the grade book for a user for that particular activity.
