Collect Data Points

Once an administrator sets the type of data to collect, you will be able to view the logs and manually run the data collection.

Force the collection to run

Steps: Administration > Site administration > Plugins > Blocks > Collect

  1. From Site administration select Plugins, Blocks, and Collect.
  2. Select Force data collection cron to run now to run the collection based on the administrative setup.
  3. When the collection is complete, select Continue.

You can now view the logs.

Reset the last run time

Steps: Administration > Site administration > Plugins > Blocks > Collect

Resetting collectors cause the next run to collect data for each selected data collection. This process is useful if several courses were unhidden recently or if report data needs to be refreshed immediately.

  1. From Site administration select Plugins, Blocks, and Collect.
  2. Select Reset collectors last run time to reset time for different data collection.
  3. Sect any of the collection points to reset:
    • Course
    • Course/User
    • Activity
    • Activity/Action
    • Activity/User
    • Scrom/Track
  4. Select Reset.
  5. Select Yes to complete the reset.

Resetting the last run time may cause the next collection run to take longer.

  6. Select Continue when finished.

View logs

Steps: Administration > Site administration > Plugins > Blocks > Collect
